Happy UN Day!

Seventy-three years ago today, shortly after WWII, the United Nations was formed by representatives of 51 nations. Its purpose was to promote international peace and security, foster cooperation and friendship between nations to support international humanitarian issues, and to ultimately provide a platform for countries to meet and discuss international policies and goals.

Since 1948, October 24 has been recognized as UN Day. UNAGB celebrates the day with a Model UN Conference with local students and a UN Day Luncheon in Boston.
